And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up? …It's OK, Bunk few classes, score low in couple of papers, take leave from work, fall in love, fight a little with ur spouse... It's ok... Best solutions to build self confidence

Self esteem (being confident) is a mindset – it is about the way you think. It is very important to know how to be self confident, if you want to build your own key to success and be confident in life. Having high self confidence means having positive thoughts and building feelings of confidence, worthiness and high regard for yourself. Individuals with high self confidence feel good about themselves and think positively. They feel a sense of belonging and protection. They respect themselves and appreciate others and really try to build something good for themselves. They tend to be successful in life due to the fact that they feel self confident in taking on challenges, finding positive solutions and running the risk of failure to accomplish what they want and build on the solid foundations they have made. They have even more energy to build and enjoy healthy pursuits due to the fact that their energy is not lost on negative thoughts, unfavourable feelings, sensations of inability or striving to look after or please others at the expense of their own self.

Self Confidence Reservoir

The reservoir of confidence you have relies on many factors – how you were raised, parental attitudes, life experiences, and so on. In some cases people lose esteem and feel bad about themselves because of failures or dissatisfactions, or because of the way others in their lives have treated them in the past. It is very important to know that anyone can build his or her own confident levels up and build a successful outlook at any time. Preferably, healthy conditioning would take place in childhood; however, the majority of people discover that they must build their own confident levels later in life to find the solutions they desire.

Why improve levels of self esteem?

The rewards of knowing how to build self esteem and being confident in outlook include having the resilience to overcome challenges and threats, having healthy relationships, not being kept back by fears and insecurities, pursuing their dreams and desires, making good choices and reaching their objectives and finding solutions to challenges.
Positive thinking will foster useful positive solutions in changing negative self thoughts and behaviours and replacing them with favourable ones that will really build levels of self esteem.

What generates low self esteem?

It is believed that not being confident is caused, in part, by negative emotional responses, negative thoughts. Criticism, teasing, punishment and abuse, poverty, economic deprivation, failure in school and many other factors affect our feelings of self worth  and cause people to not be confident in their decision making when it comes to finding solutions to their problems. Even race, religion, the media, culture and sex have an influence on how we feel about ourselves. If we are confident in ourselves, finding solutions is easy. However, when negative thoughts and feelings take root early in life, they can build powerful thought patterns that form habits of thinking. Before long, we begin to think in ways that limit our growth and self confidence. We begin to doubt ourselves and feel dissatisfied – we are unable to build anything substantial in life. We become afraid to find solutions to challenges and feel unworthy, even when we do accomplish important things. The deeper these thought patterns take root, the lower our self esteem falls, until we cannot envision what it is like to feel confident about ourselves.

Low confidence

Not being confident is sometimes hidden by other behaviours used to compensate for the deeper rooted, more painful feelings we wish to avoid. Psychologists tell us that low confidence often masks itself under a false front of superiority, perfectionism, over self reliance, kindness or humility, arrogant or attention-seeking behaviour, hyper-critical behaviour or religious fanaticism. All of these behaviour patterns are meant to shield us from the underlying feelings of sadness, inferiority, fear or insecurity. They allow us to compensate for these unacceptable or painful feelings by giving us a false sense of being okay or right or better than those around us, but they are not long term solutions – we need to build a better foundation in our lives.

Finding Solutions: How to be Confident

Being confident or having low confidence tends to develop from childhood and build patterns of positive or negative thinking and behaving. These patterns reinforce self confidence, whether low or high, and become habits. In some cases, these habits can be very destructive, causing us to feed and nurture feelings of low confidence even when there are no reasons for it. In other words, things in our lives may have changed significantly since childhood, we may no longer be subject to the influences that contributed to our low confidence, yet we perpetuate it by our beliefs and behaviours and negative thinking – we forget how to be confident.

Easy steps on how to be confident

I. Appraising yourself

Being able to build confidence is about liking yourself and appreciating your talents, abilities and attributes, such as problem solving and finding solutions to life’s challenges. This does not mean becoming egotistical or vain. It merely means acknowledging your good traits and qualities. The self concept – how you think about yourself – has a great deal to do with your confidence. If you continually tell yourself  you are a failure, a loser, a poor student or whatever terms you use to put yourself down, you are feeding your lack of confidence and you will build a negative attitude. You are reinforcing what others wrongly caused you to feel about yourself. If you accept that they were wrong, or perhaps ignorant in doing this to you, why would you chose to do the same thing to yourself? It is time to build a more confident approach to life!

II. Basic solutions for bettering yourself and owning the key to success

Being able to build good levels of confidence commands action; it is not an item you can wish for, buy or borrow. There are solutions you can engage in every single day when learning how to build confidence.

Listed here are just a few steps to being more confident:

• try out positive thinking “be confident”
• just imagine being successful every single day
• accept admirations and place confidence in them
• look for new solutions through challenging times
• recognize your beliefs and build on them
• value your targets and be confident in them
• be straightforward in expressing your strengths, competences, and skill-sets
• profit from positive feedback
• write your achievements each day and build a diary of your successes
• allow yourself praise day after day
• take action on solutions you rely on
• encourage your corporeal, cognitive and non physical self to take action and be more confident
• forgive those people who have abused you
• make time for building self improvement every day

Each of us is attracting in every moment of our lives. So when you feel that the law isn't working for you because you don't have what you want, realize that the law is responding to you. You are either attracting what you want or you are attracting the absence of what you want.

The law is still working.

Holding the Door Open for Others:

This is something which everybody used to do. If you're coming out of a meeting, or if you're in a supermarket, or if you're in a train, the people ahead of you will always hold the door open and it is just basic courtesy to make sure that you do the same for the person who might be following you.

Whereas we Indians hardly care who is behind us and just slam the door on their face.

Giving respect to other people who are of lower income group

Foreigners give extreme respect to other people who may not be earning as much as they do. You might see a CEO of big multinational talking humbly to a taxi driver or a cleaner or to a cashier at the super market.

We Indians, don't really care.

Greeting Strangers

People, more often, greet others. If you walk into an elevator, people would smile and greet you with a 'Good Morning' or a 'Good Evening'. 

I remember visiting the Hog Veluwe National Park in The Netherlands. We took the bicycles and started on the cycling trail, an approximately 18 kms. We were wished, a 'Hi' or a 'Hello' by almost every person who came in from the opposite direction. For me as an Indian, this was weird but then I enjoyed it and replied back as well :)

Something like this can also be difficult in India, where you find people everywhere :) and you might just tire yourself to exhaustion by greeting others.

Cycling - Quintessentially Dutch

Dutch people are good at cycles and everything related to them. (they call them bikes though)

Cycling is there in the blood of every Dutch national. You'll find a 3 year old kid to a 80 year old grandma easily riding bicycles. In our country, people riding bicycles are looked down upon.

Here is a snapshot of the bicycle parking lot at the Amsterdam Central Station.Oh by the way, this is just one side of it.

If you think carrying groceries on a bicycle is little difficult. Think again !!

How would you carry toddlers on a bicycle ? Like this !!

It is not like you will find only one or two such 'different' bicycles. Cycles with different variations are as ubiquitous as Maruti cars in India.

Now if you need to visit a different city ? No problem. You can take your bicycles on to the trains too. 

Ok now planning to have a mini-party. How about this ? This is a 13 seater bicycle :) . I am not really sure if it is still a bicycle though. I believe its called a 'Cycling Limo'.

Following Rules

A perfectly synchronized lane driving would be a common sight in most of the other nations. People would also maintain a certain distance from the vehicle ahead of them. 

We in India know, how it is really like here. Don't we.

Cleaning Up the mess you cause

I believe, this is something Japanese are very famous for. Any event or any party that are part of - they celebrate. But once the celebrations are done, they make sure that they clean up the mess that they caused to. 

We, in India, do not really blink an eye before throwing something on to the roads.

911

The number 911 is synonymous with emergency services in the United States of America. Most of the Indians are aware about it as well thanks to the films and television series.

911 is a direct number and based on the nature of emergency the task of responding to the emergency is directed to either Fire, Police or Ambulance or more than one of them.

In India, we however, hardly use these numbers. Partly because of ignorance and partly because when we really are in an emergency, we do cannot really recall which number is for what.

In a state of complete panic and shock, you need to remember which service you want to call and in some cases, which city you're in also matters.

1. MULTI-TASKING
Women - Multiple process
Womens brains designed to concentrate multiple task at a time.
Women can Watch a TV and Talk over phone and cook.
Men - Single Process
Mens brains designed to concentrate only one work at a time. Men can not watch TV and talk over the phone at the same time. they stop the TV while Talking. They can either watch TV or talk over the phone or cook.

2. LANGUAGE
Women can easily learn many languages. But can not find solutions to problems. Men can not easily learn languages, they can easily solve problems. That's why in average a 3 years old girl has three times higher vocabulary than a 3 yeard old boy.

3. ANALYTICAL SKILLS
Mens brains has a lot of space for handling the analytical process. They can analyze and find the solution for a process and design a map of a building easily. But If a complex map is viewed by women, they can not understand it. Women can not understand the details of a map easily, For them it is just a dump of lines on a paper.

4. CAR DRIVING.
While driving a car, mans analytical spaces are used in his brain. He can drive a car fastly. If he sees an object at long distance, immediately his brain classifies the object (bus or van or car) direction and speed of the object and he drives accordingly. Where woman take a long time to recognize the object direction/ speed. Mans single process mind stops the audio in the car (if any), then concentrates only on driving.

5. LYING
When men lie to women face to face, they get caught easily. Womans super natural brain observes facial expression 70%, body language 20% and words coming from the mouth 10%. Mens brain does not have this. Women easily lie to men face to face.
So guys, do not lie face to face.

6. PROBLEMS SOLVING
If a man have a lot of problems, his brain clearly classifies the problems and puts them in individual rooms in the brain and then finds the solution one by one. You can see many guys looking at the sky for a long time. If a woman has a lot of problems, her brain can not classify the problems. she wants some one to hear that. After telling everything to a person she goes happily to bed. She does not worry about the problems being solved or not.

7. WHAT THEY WANT
Men want status, success, solutions, big process, etc... But Women want relationship, friends, family, etc...

8. UNHAPPINESS
If women are unhappy with their relations, they can not concentrate on their work. If men are unhappy with their work, they can not concentrate on the relations.

9. SPEECH
Women use indirect language in speech. But Men use direct language.

10. HANDLING EMOTION
Women talk a lot without thinking. Men act a lot without thinking.

software లో పని చేయడం కంటే పాలమ్ముకోవడం మంచిదా?

కృష్ణారావ్‌ (K.Rao) B.Tech పాస్‌ అయి Campus placements లో Infosys లో ఉద్యోగం తెచ్చుకున్నాడు. సంవత్సరానికి 4 లక్షల ప్యాకేజ్‌. చుట్టాలు, చుట్టు పక్కల జనం చప్పట్లు కొట్టి K.Rao కి అభినందనలు తెలిపారు. K.Rao మొహం వెలిగిపోయింది, ఇక ముందు అన్నీ మంచి రోజులే అని సంబర పడిపోయాడు.

పక్క వీధి లో మల్లేశ్‌ డిగ్రీ fail అయ్యాడు, అందరూ విమర్శించారు, హైద్రాబాద్‌ లో అంతా ఇంజనీరింగ్‌,IIT ల్లో చదివి హైటెక్‌ సిటీ లో జాబ్‌ చేస్తుంటే , cheap గా డిగ్రీ చదవడం , పైగా fail అవ్వడం ఏంటని ముక్కున వేలేసుకున్నారు. ఇంట్లో వాళ్ళు తిట్టి పోసారు, మల్లేశ్‌ నాన్న కొడదామనుకున్నాడు, మల్లేశ్‌ అందరి తిట్లు వినలేక చెవులు ముసుకున్నప్పుడు అతని కండలు చూసి తిట్టడమే బెటరని తిట్టి వురుకున్నాడు. వీడు బండి మీద ఇడ్లీ,దోసా అమ్ముకోవాలన్నారు, పాన షాప్‌ పెట్టుకోమన్నారు, పాలు అమ్ముకోవడానికి తప్ప దేనికీ పనికి రాడని ముద్ర వేశారు. “పాలు” “పాలు” మల్లేశ్‌ వాళ్ళ అమ్మ అక్కడే ఆగి పోయింది, ఏదో ఒకటి కొడుకు పని చేసుకోవాలి, పెళ్ళి చేసుకొని బ్రతకాలి అని రెండు లక్షలు కొడుక్కిచ్చింది పాల వ్యాపారం చేసుకోమని. మల్లేశ్‌ మరో రెండు లక్షలు అప్పు చేసి అర డజన్‌ బర్రెలు కొని పాల వ్యాపారం మొదలు పెట్టాడు.

K.Rao credit card మీద బైక్‌ కొని “రైయ్‌, రైయ్‌” మని Infosys కి వెళ్తుంటే , స్కుటర్‌ మీద పాల క్యాన్లు వేసుకొని మల్లేశ్‌ బయల్దేరాడు. K.Rao చెయ్యి లేపి style గా “హాయ్‌” చెప్పాడు, కొంచెం గర్వంగా నవ్వాడు, మల్లేశ్‌ మాత్రం నవ్వలేక నవ్వుతూ చెయ్యి లేపి ముందుకెళ్ళి పోయాడు.

ఆరు నెలలు గడిచి పోయాయి. K.Rao bike మీద 20% వడ్డీ కట్టగా అసలు 80 వేలు అలాగే వుంది. మల్లేశ్‌ తన రెండు లక్షల అప్పులో ఓ లక్ష తీర్చేసాడు. Office కి వెళ్తుంటే మల్లేశ్‌ ఎదురొచ్చాడు, అసలు ఎప్పుడు అయిపోతుందా అని దిగులు మొహంతో K.Rao నవ్వాడు, సగం అప్పు తీరి పోయింది అని సగం దిగులు తో మల్లేశ్‌ నవ్వాడు. ఇద్దరూ ఎవరి పనుల మీద వాళ్ళు వెళ్ళిపోయారు.

సంవత్సరం గడిచింది salary పెరుగుతుందని ఆశగా చూస్తున్న K.Rao మీద Recession పిడుగు పడింది. Salary hike వుండదని కంపెనీ వాళ్ళు mail చేసారు. ఆ mail ఇంగ్లీశ్‌ లో వున్నా రాంగోపాల్‌ వర్మ తెలుగులో తీసిన “మర్రిచెట్టు” లా భయంకరంగా కనిపించింది. పది రూపాయిలున్న half litre 14/- రూపాయిలు అయ్యింది, మల్లేశ్‌ కి 30% రాబడి పెరిగింది, ఇంకో లక్ష అప్పూ తీర్చేసాడు.

K.Rao ఎలగొలా కష్ట పడి bike అప్పు తీర్చి Personal Loan (16% వడ్డీ) రెండు లక్షలు తీసుకొని ఇంట్లోకి furniture, Laptop ,LCD TV కొన్నాడు. అందరూ వాళ్ళ నాన్న 25 ఏళ్ళు ఉద్యోగం చేసి చెయ్యలేనిది రెండు సంవత్సరాలు గడవక ముందే చేసాడని తెగ పొగిడి పైకి లేపారు. మల్లేశ్‌ తన దగ్గర మిగిల్చిన ఓ లక్ష పెట్టి మరో అర దజను బర్రెలు కొన్నాడు.పాల దిగుబడి రెండింతలయ్యింది. Office కి వెళ్తూ మళ్ళీ ఇద్దరూ ఎదురయ్యారు, K.Rao ఈ Personal loan ని తలచుకుంటు ఎప్పుడు తీరుతుందా అని సందేహంగా నవ్వాడు, మల్లేశ్‌ అప్పుల్లేవు అని చింత లేకుండా నవ్వాడు.

మరో రెండు సంవత్సరాలు తరువాత K.Rao కి 10% salary hike వొచ్చింది. కాస్త కుదుట పడి కార్‌ లోన్‌ తీసుకొని Maruti Wagan R కారు కొన్నాడు. మల్లేశ్‌ ఊరి బయట రెండెకరాల స్థలం కొని బర్రెల్ని అక్కడికి మార్చాడు. పెద్ద స్థలంలో ఇప్పుడతని దగ్గర ఓ రెండు డజన్‌ బర్రెలున్నాయి. పాల ధర మరో 30% పెరిగింది, అంటే K.Rao కన్నా రాబడి సుమారు 200% పెరిగింది. K.Rao కి బోడి 10% మాత్రమే పెరిగింది. మల్లేశ్‌ ఊరి బయట నుంచి సిటీలోకి పాలు తేవడానికి ఓ ఆటో కొన్నాడు, కార్లో K.Rao, ఆటో లో మల్లేశ్‌ ఎదురు పడ్డారు, కార్లో కూర్చున్నా అప్పులు, వడ్డీలు, ముష్టి లాంటి హైకులు గుర్తోచ్చి K.Rao మనస్పూర్తిగా నవ్వలేక పోయాడు, చూడు ఇది నా సొంత ఆటో అని మల్లేశ్‌ హాయి గా నవ్వాడు.

మరో రెండు సంవత్సరాలు గడిచే సరికి K.Rao 40 లక్షలు Home Loan తో ఓ అపార్ట్‌ మెంట్‌ కొన్నాడు. మల్లేశ్‌, బాగా రేటు రావడంతో సగం స్థలం అమ్మేసి రెండు అపార్ట్‌ మెంట్లు అప్పు లేకుండా కొన్నాడు. అతని దగ్గర ఇప్పుడు బర్రెలు సంఖ్య సెంచరీ దాటింది. K.Rao కి మరో 10% హైక్‌ వచ్చింది. పాల ధర లీటర్‌ 40 దాటింది, మరో 30% లీటరు మీద ఆదాయం, పాల దిగుబడి ముందుకన్నా పదింతలు పెరిగింది, సుమారు 500% లాభాలు పెరిగాయి. ఆ దెబ్బతో ఒక స్కోడా, మరో ఇన్నోవా కొన్నాడు. K.Rao మారుతి కార్లో, మల్లేశ్‌ స్కోడా లో తను అప్పు చేసి కొన్న అపార్ట్‌ మెంట్‌ ముందు ఎదురుపడ్డారు. K.Rao ఉద్యోగం పోతే 40 లక్షలు అప్పు ఎలా కట్టాలి అనే Tension తో నవ్వాడు, మల్లేశ్‌ చిన్న సైజ్‌ పాల ఫ్యాక్టరీ లో 50 మంది పని చేస్తున్నారు అని confidence, ఆత్మ విశ్వాసం తో నవ్వాడు.

K.Rao ఆ రోజు రాత్రి ఆలోచించాడు, ఐదేళ్ళ తరువాత చూస్తే మల్లేశ్‌ దగ్గర నాలుగైదు కోట్లు విలువ చేసే ఆస్తులు, నెలకి ఐదారు లక్షల ఆదాయం, 50 మందికి ఉద్యోగ అవకాశం, తనకి సంవత్సరానికి 6 లక్షల salary, 40 లక్షల అప్పు, ఉంటుందా ఊడుతుందా తెలియని ఉద్యోగం , ఇదీ ఇద్దరి Balance sheet.తనకి ఉద్యోగం వచ్చినప్పుడు చప్పట్లు కొట్టిన వాళ్ళందర్నీ పిలిచి చెంపలు పగలకొట్టాలనుకున్నాడు.

Facts: పాలు 2008 లో 10/- లీటర్‌, ఇప్పుడు 40/-, బంగారం 12500/- 10 grams, ఇప్పుడు 30000/- , Software లో పని చేసే వారి జీతాలు ఈ నాలుగేళ్ళలో 30% పెరిగితే, అన్ని రేట్లు 300% పెరిగాయి, అయినా బయట అందరూ Software లో చేసే వాళ్ళు కోట్లు సంపాదిస్తున్నట్లు ఏడుస్తున్నారు.
